Hello, I'm Dr. Aju Mathew. I hold an MBBS, MD (USA), DM (USA), MPhil (Cambridge) and FACP. I'm American Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. I also hold a Fellowship in the American College of Physicians.
My career spans both the United States and India. I'm dedicated to providing compassionate care, advancing cancer research, and educating future healthcare professionals. Today, I serve as a Consultant at Ernakulam Medical Centre and MOSC Medical College. I'm also the Director of Kerala Cancer Care.

My journey in medicine began at the Medical College Thiruvananthapuram in India, where I earned my MBBS degree.
I then advanced my studies at the University of Cambridge, earning an MPhil in Epidemiology. I further honed my clinical skills in the United States at the University of Pittsburgh, where I completed a residency in Internal Medicine (MD equivalent) and a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology (DM equivalent) – even serving as Chief Fellow during my training.
Today, I blend international expertise with local practice. I held academic appointments at the University of Kentucky and serve as adjunct faculty at Manipal University, helping bridge global knowledge with local healthcare challenges.
I am passionately involved in cancer research, focusing on innovative treatments and personalized medicine. My research contributions have been published in prestigious international high-impact journals such as Nature Reviews, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, Annals of Oncology, and the JCO Global Oncology.

Educating the next generation of healthcare professionals is a cornerstone of my career. I have taught and mentored medical students, residents, and fellows at institutions including the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Kentucky, Manipal University, and MOSC Medical College.
My roles have ranged from coordinating courses and delivering lectures to serving as a preceptor and advisor for aspiring doctors. I take pride in inspiring and guiding young talent in both clinical and research settings.
In addition to my clinical and academic roles, I provide expert consulting to various organizations. I have served on advisory boards for various organizations, and I hold a board membership with Pallium India USA.
I am actively engaged in public discourse through media contributions, having written articles for various media platforms. My aim is to translate complex medical topics into clear, actionable information for the general public.
